My Web Development Journey

Designing, developing and improving real websites.

My experience in web development has been built through continuous practice and real projects. I have worked on personal portfolios, professional websites and client projects, combining WordPress, Elementor and custom code to create responsive, functional and visually consistent digital experiences.

01 The Beginning

How I started building websites

My interest in web development began with the desire to understand how modern websites are designed, structured and published. Instead of staying only at the theoretical level, I started experimenting directly with layouts, themes, code and complete website setups.

From curiosity to practice

Learning by creating complete and functional websites

In the beginning, I focused on understanding how a web page is structured and how its individual elements work together. I experimented with content, typography, images, navigation, sections and responsive layouts.

As my experience grew, I moved beyond simple visual changes. I started working with WordPress, Elementor, HTML, CSS and JavaScript to modify existing themes, create custom sections and solve problems that could not be fixed through the standard settings alone.

Through this process, I learned that building a professional website involves much more than creating an attractive design. It requires clear structure, reliable navigation, correct mobile behavior, performance, accessibility and continuous testing.

Technical Practice

Working directly with WordPress, Elementor, custom CSS, HTML blocks, JavaScript, hosting settings, domains and website configuration.

Visual Development

Improving layouts, spacing, typography, color consistency, cards, sections and the overall user experience across different devices.

02 Core Skills

What I have practiced

My web development experience covers both the visible interface and the practical setup behind a website. I have worked on the full process, from the initial structure to publishing, testing and maintenance.

Adding interactive behavior, smooth animations, clickable elements and small custom functions that improve the usability and presentation of a page.

Setting up pages, customizing templates, managing widgets, building reusable sections, maintaining content and extending themes with custom code.

05

SEO & Performance Basics

Working with page titles, descriptions, image optimization, WebP conversion, caching, clean URLs, sitemap preparation and Google Search Console setup.

Tools & Technologies

The tools I have worked with

Different projects require different combinations of tools. My experience includes visual website builders, custom front end code, hosting configuration, domain management, optimization and project organization.

WordPress Elementor HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript Responsive Design UI Design UX Improvements Hostinger Domain Management DNS Configuration SSL Setup LiteSpeed Cache WebP Optimization Google Search Console GitHub VS Code Website Maintenance
03 Real Experience

From templates to custom websites

I have worked on websites that required more than installing a ready made theme. I have customized layouts, written code, connected domains and hosting, optimized content and solved practical issues that appeared during development.

Practical project work

Creating professional websites through real problem solving

My portfolio website is a complete example of this process. I worked on the structure, visual presentation, project cards, responsive behavior, custom pages and additional HTML, CSS and JavaScript that extended the original template.

I have also worked on professional websites for other people and businesses, where the requirements included content organization, visual consistency, mobile optimization, image processing, forms, menus and ongoing site management.

These projects helped me develop the ability to identify a problem, inspect its real source and apply a solution without damaging the rest of the website.

04 Practical Work

Tasks I have completed

My experience includes both website development and the technical tasks required to keep a website functional, secure, fast and professionally presented.

Website and Page Creation

Building homepages, service pages, portfolio sections, project pages, contact areas and custom landing pages.

Theme Customization

Modifying ready made themes so that the final result matches the identity, content and goals of the website.

Custom HTML, CSS & JavaScript

Adding custom sections, visual effects, animations, responsive corrections and functionality beyond the available theme options.

Domain and Hosting Setup

Connecting domains with hosting, installing WordPress, configuring SSL and working with DNS settings when required.

Mobile and Tablet Optimization

Correcting page width, navigation, cards, typography, spacing and images for smaller screens.

Image and Performance Optimization

Compressing images, converting them to modern formats such as WebP and improving caching and page loading behavior.

Forms and Spam Protection

Configuring contact forms, improving validation and addressing unwanted automated form submissions.

Website Maintenance

Updating content, managing plugins, fixing visual issues, creating backups and keeping websites functional over time.

05 My Process

How I approach a website

A reliable website is created through a structured process. I begin by understanding the purpose of the project and then work through design, development, testing and improvement.

01

Planning

Understanding the target audience, required pages, content, visual direction and the main actions visitors should take.

02

Design

Organizing sections, typography, colors, spacing, cards and navigation into a consistent and professional interface.

03

Development

Building the pages, configuring WordPress and Elementor and adding custom code where the standard options are not enough.

04

Testing

Checking links, forms, responsiveness, performance, spacing and usability before publishing the final version.
